Lauren Alessandro Memorial Foundation

The Lauren Alessandro Memorial Foundation was created in honor of Lauren Alessandro, who tragically passed away in her sleep, from a cardiac dysrhythmia, at the young age of 37. We hope to keep Lauren’s memory alive by raising funds to do good and help others in her name.

Lauren (Macdonald) Alessandro was born and raised in West Roxbury. She was a loving wife, daughter, the best big sister to her three siblings and most importantly, a fun and loving “auntie snack snack” to her nieces.
Lauren was known for her kind heart, beautiful smile and her witty humor. Whether you needed a good laugh or a helping hand, she would always be there for you to turn to. Lauren, a nurse at Brigham and Women’s Hospital up until her sudden passing, dedicated her life to helping others. The foundation hopes to raise funds so that we can continue Lauren’s legacy of helping others as she did when she was here.

DONATIONS WILL SUPPORT

Infertility Costs

  • Lauren wanted nothing more than to become a mom, but she suffered from infertility. After enduring so many ups and downs, Lauren was finally able to get pregnant through IVF but devastatingly lost the baby due to it being an ectopic pregnancy. Most of us have either dealt with or know someone who has faced or are facing the same struggles. We can’t think of a better way to honor Lauren then by helping others get the miracle she so badly wanted. We hope to ease the financial burden by giving out funds to help with costs associated with infertility. There is no better gift than the gift of life!

Local Community Support/Sponsorships:

  • Sponsor community events and sports leagues

  • Scholarships for youth sports

Supporting Front Line Workers

  • Giving back to those who put others before themselves. We would like to show support for front line workers, who risk their lives to help others, by delivering care packages to show support and appreciation for all that they do.

THANK YOU!

Also, we’d like to thank all those who donated to Lauren’s scholarship fund. We are forever grateful for your generous donations,  which will allow us to give out a yearly scholarship in Lauren’s name. We are currently working with St. Theresa of Avila School to distribute this year’s scholarship.
